The Breather Fit is a single patient use device. As such, returns of working devices are not accepted.
PN Medical, Inc. (“PN Medical”) warrants that its “The Breather” products (“Products”) will be free from manufacturing defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from PN Medical or a PN Medical-authorized retailer, unless otherwise prohibited by law. PN Medical Products are legitimately sold only by authorized sellers who are required to follow PN Medical policies, procedures, and quality control standards. PN Medical reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. This warranty does not cover any defects due to normal wear and tear, damage due to misuse, alteration to the product, or negligence.
Purchasers of Products who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a Product defect should call 877-414-4449. PN Medical will repair or replace a defective Product that is covered by this limited warranty or will refund the purchase price of the Product at PN Medical’s sole discretion.
There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. Any implied warranties that may be applicable to Products, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. I find it a little weird to review this after having it in hand less than a week, but I have used it every day since I got it and previously had the "basic" breather I used for a few weeks (before my dog got hold of it). I originally bought the breather because I had been a long term smoker and this past year had multiple respiratory infections. I felt the breather may help me clear and strengthen my lungs. When my dog crunched my first one, I went to the Breather Fit because I still feel quite hopeful, but also because I was almost to the highest settings on the first Breather. Well, I'm now on the highest settings on the Fit, which kind of concerns me. However, there are more directions and hints with the Fit that I'm finding valuable so I'm still feeling pretty good about it. I'd rather be asked for a review after I've used it for a few months, but there you go.
It took me two (2) days of breathing exercises to see a fantastic improvement in my breathing because of using The Breather Fit. I was able to walk about and shop for two hours and without needing treatment for the day.
I really like that it helps to train both the inhale and the exhale. I have used it for a couple of months and feel that it does create more strength and volume in my diaphragm. What I did find that I didn't like was that if I followed the app I found that I was pushing to do it longer and a bit harder than I was comfortable with. I started to get headaches after I used it. I may just turn it down to the lowest setting and do 15 or 20 breaths in the morning at my own pace. I think the pace that they have on the app may not be for everyone. Also the intensity levels in my opinion may not be realistic for many people if not all people. For example I tried it once at their highest/hardest setting and I felt that I was engaging muscles that were not necessary to engage in order to breathe that hard. Wasn't sure that there would be any functional value to strengthening at that level. Could not think of any real world examples that would require that level of breath intensity. Perhaps unless one was studying to become an air compressor?;)
Very useful for helping me strengthen my lungs. I'm not being super consistent with the exercises. I cannot seem to get the reminders on the app to work successfully so I'm setting up my own phone reminders today.
I am a 59 year old woman with asthma. Im a gardener so I am in good (but certainly not excellent) shape. I think anyone in normal shape could use this device. Why buy the blue one, then spend more to 'step up' to the black one? (Its a marketing ploy.) The device itself is great. Easy to use, fully adjustble, easy to clean, and most imprtantly, its EFFECTIVE. One thing to note is that the exhale side looks like the photo. I thought it might be missing a piece but it wasnt.
