What is RMT?

Respiratory Muscle Training (RMT) is a technique used to strengthen the respiratory muscles (the diaphgragm, intercostals, and abdominals) to improve breathing. RMT can be used to treat chronic breathing conditions and illnesses such as COPD, asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema. It can also be used to improve swallow function, persistent cough, voice performance, athletic performance, and much more.

How Does it Work?

Think of RMT as a workout for your respiratory
muscles. When you work out and are looking to build
muscle, the first thing you might do is add weight.
The added weight introduces additional resistance
for your muscles and helps strengthen them. RMT
works the same way; by adding resistance when you
breathe in and breathe out, you are making those
breathing muscles work harder. The result is stronger
respiratory muscles that are more resilient, leading to
improved lung and heart function, better health,
reduced stress and anxiety, and a better quality of life.

What is The Breather?

The Breather is a drug-free device that uses RMT to improve breathing, speech, and swallow function. All you have to do is breathe in and out while using the device, which adds resistance to your inhale and exhale, trengthening your respiratory muscles and offering numerous health benefits.
We offer different devices for different purposes, but all the devices work in the same way, by adding resistance to target your respiratory muscles and create lasting health, athletic, and vocal benefits.

What is Breather Fit?

Breather Fit was designed with athletes in mind, adding a higher level of resistance with each inhale and exhale, to further strengthen the respiratory system and increase athletic performance. Athletes will see improvement in endurance, stamina, heart rate, lactate threshold, and overall fitness performance.

What is Breather Voice?

Breather Voice was designed with musicians and performers in mind, adding a higher level of resistance with each inhale and exhale to give better breath control and vocal ability. Performers will see improvement in vocal strength, respiratory fatigue, breath stability, and potentially vocal range.
