We are family of surfers and everybody has a breather fit. The case is the best thing to keep the sand out of the devices.
I had purchased a generic case for my Breather Fit, but this case is better quality and of course it looks great.
able to control resistance to note progress and good days/bad days (COPD), and fits in with related breathing exercises.
I find it a little weird to review this after having it in hand less than a week, but I have used it every day since I got it and previously had the "basic" breather I used for a few weeks (before my dog got hold of it). I originally bought the breather because I had been a long term smoker and this past year had multiple respiratory infections. I felt the breather may help me clear and strengthen my lungs. When my dog crunched my first one, I went to the Breather Fit because I still feel quite hopeful, but also because I was almost to the highest settings on the first Breather. Well, I'm now on the highest settings on the Fit, which kind of concerns me. However, there are more directions and hints with the Fit that I'm finding valuable so I'm still feeling pretty good about it. I'd rather be asked for a review after I've used it for a few months, but there you go.
Well, breathing certainly improves energy levels. My last pulmo visit showed a decline; two weeks with this Breather has made a huge difference. Requires little time and the online monitor is great for correcting breath pacing and recording results. My next pulmo visit is in Sept,, by which time I should have Super Lungs. Max results for min money.
It took me two (2) days of breathing exercises to see a fantastic improvement in my breathing because of using The Breather Fit. I was able to walk about and shop for two hours and without needing treatment for the day.
I'm 65 and have asthma and was coming off a pretty severe exacerbation following an upper respiratory infection that went off the rails for me. I ordered the device after reading some research on Respiratory Muscle Training. I received the Breather device, downloaded the app, and did the Phonation pretest, and I could sustain the tone for only 21 seconds. Then I used it morning and evening faithfully for the first month on the "Strengthening" plan -- 10 reps followed by a minute of times rest and 10 more reps, as guided by the app timer. At the end of the plan, I repeated the test and could sustain the tone for 33 seconds. Not long at all if you are a singer -- but for someone with respiratory compromise coming off an exacerbation, I was really proud of my improvement and can't wait to share it with my pulmonologist. I am now doing the "Endurance" plan, which requires me to do 30 breath cycles with no break. I lowered the resistance setting just a bit -- and it is a bit of a challenge, but I can do it.There is good video on the app to explain clearly how to use the device. I had not issues with the app at all. (I have an android phone.) It is extremely helpful for me to not only hear the prompt but to see the animation that reminds you to fully inflate and empty your lungs. One nice unexpected side effect is that my lower abs are much more engaged all the time now -- since using the device correctly requires me to really isolate those muscles that pull the diaphragm down to inflate my lungs. I feel like my lungs are stronger now and if I were to get another infection, I think my cough would be stronger and more efficient. If you have lung issues and your doctor is on board, I'd encourage you to consider trying the Breather.
November 2024 to January 2035 contracted pneumonia twice and COPD Exacerbation twice. I was hospitalized 3 of the four times. My last COPD Exacerbation I could not take six steps at a time. I had to stop do Pursed lip breathing, then another six steps. Now I must tell myself not to over do. Don't know if it's possible, yet I feel my lungs take in more air. I can do simple household chores without feeling breathlessness. My lungs take in more air and I can expel more of the carbon dioxide. I am starting back by exercise routine. Thank you Breather.
This is a great little device. Can use at home and work. No frills. Easy to use. Good directions.
I've been using The Breather for a couple of years. Having COPD, Asthma, and other breathing problems (bronchitis, occasional pneumonia, allergies), I depend on this instrument greatly. I recently purchased a new (pink) one when my old one went missing - wow, is it great to have it back!
I recommend this instrument for anyone who has breathing problems, to get ahead of the seasons when allergies and colds bring worsening efforts. Use it to stay ahead of those things that attack your lungs.
Service at this company is great. I got mine before expected.
So thank you very much and I am very happy with the Breather.
As an athlete and a singer I thought I knew something about breathing from the diaphragm, but this device showed me that my habits and muscle strenth had been eroded by long illness and fatigue. I'm feeling that oxygen rise in my when I practice this and feel calmer and more relaxed. My voice tone is much clearer and stronger. I've been at it only four days! I'm a distance swimmer. I believe I will perform better in the water if I stay with this.
I am s/p lung CA.tiimes3. No chemo or radiation for 1or 2.. #3 had radiation and of course had scar tissue. I smoked therefore I am now on 02 24/7. However I believe this is helping me a great deal. I am using it TID 10 times per and I am now up to number three for inhale and exhale. Thanks for this chance to improve in whatever manner I can. FYI I also took a Pulmonary Rehab course at my local hospital! Nag your medical to get it if 02 is new for you 24/7
